So why go from Super Bikes to a Tiger ?
Well, after 18 months of scaring myself daft on 170 bhp of 2 wheeled lunacy the penny finally dropped so I changed to 110 bhp of comfort.
For 10% of most trips I really miss the R1, twist the throttle and you have speeds that light aircraft dream of but christ its knackering. The change to the Tiger was wierd for the first 30 minutes then you realise that its just different. Funny thing is, over a 250 mile trip, the Tiger was 30 minutes faster, my hands are warm and I can get all my kit on the back without wondering if its blown off the back of the bike.
These bikes might not have the ultimate rush of a superbike but at least I can feel my arse after a week long trip.
Happy Days !!!

April Trip to France
Following on from last years trip to Bikers Lot. I will be doing the same again this year with a four day trip taking in the 24 hr Le Mans bike race as well.
Plans are sketchy at the moment but the plan is to travel down the Gourge du Tarn this year as well as a few mountains and volcanos in the area.
Trip ended up being 10 days and took in Rouanne, Paris, Troyes, Figac, Gorge du Tarn, Cahours, Limmoges and then back to St Malo.
The weather was "changable" with rain, sleet, fog & some sun !!
The Lott valley was spectacular and if you have never been it is well worth a visit with great roads, stunning villages and towns and masses of history

Well the R1 has gone
This week see's the R1 moving onto pastures new which is a shame but since gettin the Tiger, the wheels never turned!
I will miss the power, speed, brakes, and style but I dont miss the numb arse, broken wrists, bad shoulder and passing moments of sheer terror.
A fantastic bike and to my mind the best of the 1000 superbikes overall but I guess I'm getting too old !!
